How Much Air Source Pressure Does The Pneumatic Butterfly Valve Actuator Need To Work Properly?
The air source required by the pneumatic actuator of Sanitary Butterfly Valve is compressed air, which must be dry, free of impurities and with stable air source pressure.
The pneumatic actuator of the pneumatic butterfly valve is driven by compressed air to realize the opening and closing or regulating control of the valve. The quality of the air source directly affects the use of the pneumatic valve. A good, stable and high-quality air source can extend the service life of the pneumatic valve.
The air source pressure of the pneumatic actuator of the pneumatic butterfly valve must be stable at 5-6bar, especially for single-acting pneumatic valves. If it is lower than 5bar, the valve may not be opened; when several pneumatic valves are used at the same time, the air compressor must have sufficient capacity to ensure that the pneumatic valves can be opened or closed at the same time; the compressed air must be cooled, filtered, and cleared of moisture and impurities. The air inlet of the pneumatic valve must be equipped with an air filter triplet: filter, pressure regulating valve, and oil filter. When transporting compressed air over long distances, it is better to set up a gas tank near the site of use to stabilize the air pressure. All air pipes and air pipe joints must not leak, and the pneumatic valves must not be installed with excessive force to damage the components.
Pneumatic butterfly valves are divided into two types: soft seal and hard seal. So how to choose the seal of pneumatic butterfly valves with soft seal as the sealing material?
The commonly used sealing materials for pneumatic butterfly valves are:
1. Nitrile rubber, suitable for: fresh water, sea water, salt, weak alkali, natural gas, air, oil, etc., with a temperature resistance of -30-80℃.
2. EPDM rubber, suitable for: fresh water, sea water, salt, weak alkali, natural gas, air, steam, food, etc., with a temperature resistance of -30-80℃.
3. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is suitable for: fresh water, sea water, salt, strong alkali, weak alkali, strong acid, weak, natural gas, air, steam, oil, food, etc., with a temperature resistance of -20-150℃.
4. Wear-resistant rubber, this component is the same as our car tire component, wear-resistant!
