Material and Surface Requirements
The clamp body uses SS304 or SS316L. SS316L resists corrosive products and repeated SIP cycles. SS304 covers less aggressive duty at lower cost.
Contact surfaces are machined and polished to Ra ≤ 0.8 μm. Electropolishing lowers roughness toward Ra ≤ 0.4 μm and reduces attachment sites for microbes. Smooth faces release soil during cleaning.
Installation and Maintenance
