Selection Checks for Hygienic Sample Collection

The product is listed as an aseptic model, but sterile performance depends on the sealing design, sterilization method, and validated operating procedure. A manual clamp connection alone does not establish aseptic suitability.

Sample Representativeness and Hygienic Process Control

The sample point should reflect the process stream and allow safe collection into a clean, compatible container. Outlet residue, poor sample timing, or an unsuitable sampling location can affect results even when the valve body is stainless steel.

A butterfly valve food grade configuration serves a different role, mainly isolating or regulating process flow. A sampling valve provides a dedicated means of withdrawing liquid for testing, so its outlet geometry and cleaning procedure deserve separate attention.

Maintaining the Sampling Assembly

Routine inspection should cover the clamp joint, PTFE sealing elements, outlet cleanliness, and signs of leakage. Cleaning procedures must suit the process fluid and the rated temperature. For an aseptic process, sterilization effectiveness and prevention of recontamination should be confirmed for the complete assembly rather than assumed from the valve label.
