Sanitary Valve Material Or Structure Strength Test

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 170

After the sanitary valve is installed, it is necessary to test the ability of the valve material or structure to withstand a certain force without damage, which is also called strength test. The strength test of general sanitary valves lasts for 2 to 3 minutes, while some special valves need to last for about 5 minutes. During the test, the valve body and valve cover are not allowed to leak or sweat.

Sanitary Valve Strength test method:

1. Before the test, it is necessary to confirm that there are no cracks, slag inclusions and other defects in each component to avoid affecting the test results.

2. Performing a strength test after rough processing of the components can effectively avoid or reduce losses.

3. During the test, the sanitary valve is opened, leaving a port for medium input and applying pressure

4. The strength test pressure is generally P=1.25*PN

After the sanitary valve is tested for the ability of the valve material or structure to withstand a certain force without damage, if there is no leakage or sweating within the specified time, it can be identified as a product that has passed the strength test. For leaking valves (except for valves that are allowed to leak as specified), you can choose to re-weld them and then conduct strength tests again, or you can choose to scrap the unqualified products.
